AI Overviews show in 63% of real estate searches
- Matt McGee
- Google AI Overviews
AI Overviews continue to grow more prevalent in Google's search results.
I'm tracking 250 real estate keywords (80% are information, 10% are navigational, and 10% are commercial) and as of December 1, 157 of those keywords show an AI Overview. This continues to grow by a few percentage points every month, and is now at its highest level since I started tracking keywords in May.
Some more details:
Only 1 of the 25 commercial keywords showed an AI Overview: "best realtor to help sell a historic home"
None of the navigational keywords show an AI Overview, and none ever have
156 of the 200 informational keywords show an AI Overview
Here are two lists showing the turnover in AI Overviews -- which keywords had an AI Overview in November but don't now, and vice versa.

I'm still hoping/planning to adjust the main keyword list. I want to remove some search terms that would probably not reflect content an agent would want on their blog/website. (The keyword "is 40 too old to buy first house" above is one example.)
